Looks Like Ready Player One Is Getting A Book Sequel

Ernest Cline's pop culture odyssey Ready Player One is making its way to the big screen next year, but it looks like somewhere down the road the new film could get a sequel, because the book is getting one, eventually. Yesterday, during a special event for the reveal of the newest trailer for the upcoming movie, author Ernest Cline confirmed that a sequel to Ready Player One was coming, and while he couldn't talk much about it, he says that seeing his first book become a movie has been a major inspiration to work on the next book. Based on extensive reporting by Gabriel Sherman for his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room , the series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe ( Gladiator , A Beautiful Mind ) in the title role and Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson.
