Massive New York fire started by amateur bladesmith attempting to imitate History Channel's 'Forged in Fire'



An amateur bladesmith trying to forge metal in an attempt to mimic a method he learned watching the History Channel’s “Forged in Fire” sparked a massive blaze that destroyed more in 20 buildings in upstate New York, confirmed Mayor Shawn Morse.

Based on extensive reporting by Gabriel Sherman for his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room , the series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe ( Gladiator , A Beautiful Mind ) in the title role and Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson.
