The Star Wars franchise has always tried to push the technical side of the film industry forward into the future, and it sounds like George Lucas still champions that idea to this very day. However, based on how receptive he was to the final cut of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we're willing to bet that he doesn't have much to complain about at the moment.

The horror films resurgence of the last few years has been a remarkable thing to watch: some of the most exciting new filmmakers to emerge have been working in the genre, and plenty of masters have been doing some of the best work of their careers. And, unsurprisingly, given that waking up every morning in 2017 has been like stepping into a John Carpenter nightmare, the last 12 months has seen the horror boom bigger than ever. Showtime’s The Loudest Voice in the Room adds Miller, MacFarlane & more Showtime has announced that Golden Globe nominee Sienna Miller ( Layer Cake ), Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Seth MacFarlane ( Family Guy ), Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Simon McBurney ( The Theory of Everything ) and Annabelle Wallis ( Peaky Blinders ) have joined the cast of the network’s upcoming eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes. Based on extensive reporting by Gabriel Sherman for his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room , the series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe ( Gladiator , A Beautiful Mind ) in the title role and Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson.
